Our first introduction to this heavily textured "Back Nep" fabric was in the coach's jacket. We instantly thought, "When can we get this in a pair of pants?" It's made from high-density, firm fabric that can be worn even in hot weather. The organic cotton nep yarn has a dry feel and is woven as is, without arranging the threads, and is further processed to give it a crisp texture. We did so well with the Ump Pants that we decided it was only right to bring in the trousers. The main differences here are the belt loops and non-elastic waist. It makes them a little more professional, but they by no means can't be worn casually. We love the hand feel and the fit of these pants more than anything else we've seen in the pant lineup in years!

A variance of .5" is within tolerance.
Fit Notes: These are specing a lot smaller than the ump pant because they don't have an elastic waist. We would recommend sizing up one, to start. You may even need to go up twice. Tommy is wearing a size L in this which though a little snug in the waist, wasn't a bad fit overall. Tommy is 5'10," 165lbs with a 33-34" waist.
